“Earth Day” is Really ‘Birthday’ Lenin’s That is

by Al Benson Jr.

I couldn’t let April 22 slip by without some mention of Earth Day and its origins. Many folks are totally unaware of those origins and how far to the left they really are.

I found an interesting article about this on https://www.briansussman.org for April 22, 2021.Mr. Sussman observed: “On April 22, 1970, a trio of radical dreamers rolled out the first Earth Day. Their hope was that the well-planned nationwide event would effectively assault capitalism, free markets, and mankind,.”

Part of our problem today with wacky environmentalists and climate change oddballs is a result of what these people dredged up for us on the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s birth–and the timing was no accident.

Mr. Sussman’s article continued: “The initial concept was conceived by Sen. Gaylord Nelson D-Wis. Nelson was Congress’ first environmentalist activist. He was also the mastermind behind the radical public school ‘teach ins’ that were (in) vogue throughout the 60s and 70s. During the teach ins, mutinous public school teachers would scrap the day’s assigned curriculum, pressure their students to sit cross-legged on the floor, ‘rap’ about how America was an imperial nation, and converse about why communism really wasn’t such a bad form of government…” If you can find it, and I didn’t have any trouble, read is whole article. Quite informative.

Note that all this was taking place in public schools over 50 years ago–a glaring example of why the “good old days” people think they remember from when they went to public school never really existed! I went to public high school in the 1950s and I can remember having an English teacher who a man in my church did not want teaching his son because she was supposedly an identified Communist. I can’t say if she was or not, but this man, who was in the Air Force Reserve, I think, had some info on this teacher.

Anyway, the first official Earth Day coincided wit the 100th anniversary of Lenin’s birth. Amazing “coincidence” wasn’t it? And a Wikipedia article also noted that Lenin’s father was “a Russian figure in the field of public education” another amazing coincidence wouldn’t you say?

Comrade Dewey and Others–Cultural Genocide as a Sacred Mission–Part Two

by Al Benson Jr.

In going through the mass of documentation Sam Blumenfeld and Alex Newman have provided in their book Crimes of the Educators  you are forced to come up with the conclusion that these so-called educators had one thing in mind–the total destruction of anything that could be called a true Americanist culture. Dewey. though more prominent than most, wasn’t the first. The generation of “teachers” preceding Dewey ardently worked at this in the Southern states after the War of Northern Aggression. Like most leftists they mislabeled what they were doing in order to baffle the general public. In that case they chose a Marxist term, one employed by Marx himself–“reconstruction” which was really deconstruction. Dewey, in his time, continued to play the game, taking it to another level. As I’ve said many times before “reconstruction is ongoing.”

Blumenfeld and Newman have duly noted the “progressive” (socialist) trend ongoing in education in this country and they stated: “They (the educational socialists) strongly agreed with Dewey, whose aim it was to change the focus of education from the development of individual intellectual skills to the development of cooperative social skills. Socialism’s objective had been from the very beginning to remake man from a competitive individual of a capitalist society to a cooperative being in a collectivist state. Education was considered the best way to achieve this transformation. Indeed, President Obama’s idea of transforming America is also in line with the progressive aim to create a socialist America.”

So, as you should be able to see, the “reconstruction” of America, starting in the South and expanding from there has never really been stopped. Nor has it ever really been discussed objectively and openly. It’s like those “conversations” Obama wanted to have with the public about the race question, which always ended up, somehow, with him pointing his finger at us stupid rubes and lecturing us on why we should be more accepting of the genocide of our culture.

Dewey’s (in)famous Laboratory School at the University of Chicago (where else?) went on from 1896 until 1904. During this time his ideas were tested on children, which led to him writing the book School and Society. This soon became the “bible” for socialist educators. And Blumenfeld observed: “His (Dewey’s) ideas were implemented at the Lincoln School (1916-1946) at Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York, where Dewey was invited to teach and set the direction for teacher education.” You might want to think about how many generations of public school teachers were taught these methods and the effect that has had on education in this country.

One of Dewey’s main supporters in this scheme of radical “education” was John D. Rockefeller Jr. He absolutely loved Dewey’s socialistic education plan–to the extent that he ended up donating $3 million to the school to help to promote it. In fact, and it’s almost poetic justice, Rockefeller sent four of his five sons to the school that they might be educated according to this new wave of leftist indoctrination.  Blumenfeld noted that “All four boys, subjected to the new method of teaching reading, became dyslexic.” Obviously, with the family’s money, they were able to find ways to overcome that, but how many ordinary public school students with no way to overcome that, were taught by these same methods and even today struggle with reading because they were never taught phonics? Blumenfeld correctly stated that: “Dewey’s educational methods were conceived and calculated to dumb down the nation, and he started out by dumbing down the four Rockefeller boys. Nelson, of course, was able to hire Henry Kissinger to do his reading for him.”

Blumenfeld then asked the question “Why didn’t the progressive educators admit that their teaching methods were creating dyslexia and go back to the traditional phonics method? Because what they had done to the Rockefeller boys in a private school, they intended to do to the rest of American children in the public schools. The tragedy is that there are millions of Americans like the Rockefeller boys who must endure the crippling consequences of educational malpractice. The fact that the progressives refused to stop what they were doing indicates that their intent was criminal.” Here Blumenfeld and Newman have hit the nail squarely on the head!  The professional educators know what they are doing to the children of America and they continue to do it anyway–because that’s what the elitist agenda calls for–a dumbed down population that, if they are fortunate, can maybe read at a fifth grade level. Hence they can’t really read about or grasp political issues, economic issues, theological issues, or any issues that would help to change the culture in a positive way. It’s all according to plan.

Again, I am not indicting everyone who is or was a public school teacher. Most of them have no clue to what has been done. However, the people that run the system they work for do.  And that system needs to be separated from, seceded from, most especially by Christians.

Comrade Dewey and Cultural Genocide

by Al Benson Jr.

Cultural genocide, the planned and willful destruction of a culture (in this case a Christian culture), is accomplished in many ways. The orchestrated destruction of a culture is accomplished by the tearing down of the flags and symbols of that culture and the destruction of its historical monuments and the replacing of its names with others of a more socialist intent.

It is also accomplished by the mid-education and intentional dumbing down of the children of that culture so they know less than their grandfathers about their history, heritage, faith, or anything for that matter. This is often done via institutions of “learning” that are subtly used to, in effect, make children dumber than they would be otherwise, while taxing their parents to pay for the intentional ignorance.

Recently a friend in New England sent me a copy of a book by Samuel Blumenfeld and Alex Newman about public education in this country. It is titled, quite appropriately, Crimes of the Educators and it deals with the dumbing down process that goes on in what we charitably refer to as public, or government, schools. It was published just this year by World Net Daily and so is pretty up to date with what has been and is happening in those “schools” to which most folks, unfortunately, continue to send their children to be “educated.”

While Horace Mann (a Unitarian) was hailed in the 19th century as “the father of the common (public) schools, John Dewey was hailed in the early 20th century as the “father of progressive (socialist) education.” Blumenfeld (deceased only  this past June) has  written: “In the late 1800s, he (Dewey) and his socialist colleagues decided to embark on a long-range conspiracy to radically change America by imposing their own utopian version of a collectivist society…Dewey stated that the only way to undermine a capatalist system was to get rid of the emphasis primary schools placed on the development of high literacy and independent intelligence. Why? Because both of these sustained individualism. What was needed, they believed, was a new curriculum that emphasized socialization and taught children to read by w whole-word method that would lower the nation’s literacy level and make its children more amenable to collectivist values…They considered themselves peerless intellects and socialism a morally superior way of life.” However, Dewey was smart enough to realize that “…socialism could not be imposed on America by force. And so he told his followers that ‘change must come gradually’.” This was the classic Fabian socialist approach, and “The primary vehicle for this gradual change would be the public schools, where the dumbing-down process could be carried out without parents knowing what was being done to their children.”

Blumenfeld recognized that what Dewey was doing was cultural genocide and he said as much. “…Dewey’s plan was to impose on America a form of cultural genocide never before imposed on any nation. The way to do it was to disparage high literacy and to teach children to read by a method that would prevent them from achieving the kind of high personal literacy needed to develop their independent intelligence.”

Interestingly enough, Blumenfeld noted that Dewey’s mother had been a “devout Calvinist”  who had sought to instill in her son the doctrines of Calvinism, “which he then spent all his professional life trying to erase from his brain.”

Now consider this. Horace Mann ended up being a Unitarian who sought to do away with the Christian influence on education in New England. John Dewey ended up rejecting his mother’s Christian faith and trying to purge it from his memory. Both of these men were apostates–pure and simple. They both turned away from the Christian faith they had been raised in and they envisioned and worked for a public school system they could use to teach children the same apostasy they had embraced–without their parents being aware of it. Folks, this is the foundation of your public education system in this country. Stop and think about that as you blithely commit your children to the “tender mercies” of this system.

It sounds more than a bit devious to me. So much for the supposed “separation of church and state.” All you need do to get around that little foible is change the name of your religion, call it “science” and if you’ve dumbed enough people down already, you’re off to the races!

And people, especially in the South, wonder why public schools have so much problem with Confederate flags and symbols, many of which are Christian in origin. I would strongly urge people to get this book by Blumenfeld and Newman and begin to find out what goes on in “your” public schools (which were never really yours to begin with). Check out Amazon.com  This book is listed there.

To be continued.

Those Teachers’ Unions—What’s their real game?

Loc

By Al Benson Jr.

Probably most of us have seen those sweet and subtle adds on television about the National Education Association and their supposed dedication to educating the children of America. I hate to be the bearer of negative news—but they are all hogwash!

Most folks who believe this drivel do so uncritically, never even having considered that any of this could be subtle propaganda to encourage them to keep their kids in the government school system which mal-nourishes them educationally but keeps the teachers’ unions fat and happy.

The NEA has been around a long time—founded at a meeting in Philadelphia in 1857—that’s even before the start of the War of Northern Aggression, so the propagandizing of students is hardly a new thing in this country. It’s been in vogue since your great granddaddy was alive. According to Sam Blumenfeld in NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education Thomas W. Valentine, president of the New York Teachers Association, told people at a meeting that: “What we want is an association that shall embrace all the teachers of our whole country…I trust the time will come when our government will have its educational department just as it now has one for agriculture, for the interior, for the navy, etc.” Blumenfeld noted “Thus it should come as no surprise that the call for a federal department of education was made at the very first organizational meeting. The Prussians had a Ministry of Education, so why shouldn’t Americans have one as well?” This was the mindset in 1857. So where were those “good old days” that people so fondly talk about with public education? Let’s be honest and start to admit they didn’t exist.

And let’s don’t kid ourselves that the NEA or any of these teachers unions really has the educational interests of families at heart. Thomas Sowell in Inside American Education has observed that: “At both the national and state and local levels, the NEA has vast sums of money available for political purposes and for propaganda campaigns to get the public to see the world as the NEA sees it—for example, to equate bigger school budgets with better education…As NEA President Mary Hatwood Futrell put it: ‘The Nation’s students today are threatened only by the failure of policymakers to give education the money it deserves.’ In pursuit of that money, the NEA has become a political power, as well as the largest labor union in the country. In Minnesota, for example, the state affiliates of the NEA and the American Federation of Teachers together often contribute more money to politicians running for statewide office than all other political organizations in the state put together.” So, when push comes to shove, for the teachers unions, it’s not really about education—it’s about money and political power, and anyone telling you different is just throwing fairy dust in your eyes!

Recently, I picked up a book called Shadowbosses: Government Unions Control America and Rob Taxpayers Blind written by Mallory Factor, a professor of International Politics and American Government at The Citadel. On page 120 of the book is a section called Teachers Unions Dominate Politics. Professor Factor says here, in part, “If you are surprised by the connections between teachers unions and politics, don’t be.  Teachers unions, like all government employee unions, survive only by putting their loyal friends in our government.  The degree to which teachers unions influence state politics is so extreme that in many states ‘the legislatures, no less than the educational bureaucracies, function as wholly owned subsidiary  of the teacher’s union’ according to one education commentator. Nationally, teachers unions have political operatives in every congressional district in the United States…These operatives are the backbone of the Democrat Party machine.  They manage turn-out-the-vote efforts in local school board elections and Presidential elections alike…Because few local taxpayers pay close attention to school board elections, for example, teachers unions elect their candidates almost every time.” So what chance to parents have that are really concerned about valid educational issues and public school agendas they are in disagreement with? About as much chance as a snowball in hell!

And Professor Factor has noted that: “The teachers unions even set up front groups ‘to give the impression of public support of NEA policies,’ reports Phyllis Schlafly. Often these faux-independent educational associations are funded by teachers union funds and staffed by current or former teachers union officials, but present themselves as nonpartisan, pro-education groups.” This is the same  principle used by many Communist front groups, operated exactly the same way.

So what are those people teaching your kids in government schools? Well, a former governor of Wisconsin, Jim Doyle, signed into law a bill that required “labor history and collective bargaining” be taught in public schools in Wisconsin. The kids can barely read and write in some cases, but they will be taught how to bargain collectively. How enlightening! And then, in California, the teachers unions have what is called a Labor in the Schools Committee and that worthy group promotes “educating K-12 students about the role and contributions of unions and the labor movement to American society.”

Professor Factor stated,  on page 130 that: “Late Socialist and leftist historian Howard Zinn was a huge proponent of just this sort of indoctrination of schoolchildren.  ‘If teacher unions want to be strong and well-supported’ he wrote, ‘it’s essential that they not only be teacher-unionists but teachers of unionism. We need to create a generation of students who support teachers and the movement of teachers for their rights.” And Factor noted “What a great self-serving idea—and the teachers unions have taken it to heart.” Have any of you all noted, in recent years, pictures on the television “news” of teachers on strike for better pay (just before school starts in the Fall) and the fact that many students are out there supporting what the teachers want? I’ve noted it on newscasts from several cities. Socialist Howard Zinn’s agenda in action by teachers!

This is a big part of what your kids are being propagandized with in government schools, along with the Death Education, Sex Education, Global Warming propaganda and anti-Second Amendment propaganda. This is what passes for education in the government school system.

And the only way for Christian people to really deal with this is to remove their kids from the government school system. If you try to fight them by “reforming” the schools or some other such program you are wasting your time, effort, and your kids’ souls. The people in Kanawha County, West Virginia found that out forty years ago. Only by removing your kids from that system and either finding Christian schools you can support or by teaching them at home will you avoid your kids being caught up in this propagandized meat grinder we call public education. Here again, I am not knocking every public school teacher out there—there are and have been some good ones—but the system they are part of his been anti-Christian and socialist since the 1830s not 1930s but 1830s!  Let that date begin to sink in.

Losing Your Christian Culture? Thank a Public School!

by Al Benson Jr.

Recently I read an article by Chelsea Schilling on http://www.wnd.com where the author noted comments by Chaplain E. Ray Moore, the founder of Exodus Mandate http://exodusmandate.org which is a ministry started to help Christian families to get their children out of government, or public schools.

Chaplain Moore is also running for Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina, and Moore had some very precise comments about public education for Christians. He said: “If the evangelical community would step up and obey God in educating their own children, we could collapse the state model. We’re feeding the monster by keeping our children there.”

Chaplain Moore is right on the money, but I don’t think the majority of the evangelical community, at least many of them that I’ve run across over the years, really wants to hear it. Much easier to continue to “feed the monster” with their children and their children’s souls and there’s no real responsibility involved in that–just do it and don’t even think about it–and when you start losing your kids, then look around for someone to blame.

Moore observed: “When I see a family in public schools or a pastor in public schools, I know there’s a great blindness or an area of disobedience in their lives in that particular area. I think Christians are ignorantly doing this. There is no Bible verse that gives you permission–as a Christian family–to put your children under false doctrine and in harm’s way.” And make no mistake–public schools are about doctrine, not education. That’s not to say that every teacher realizes or knows this, but it’s true whether the individual teacher realizes it or not. If you think it’s not, I would encourage you to read Sam Blumenfeld’s book Is Public Education Necessary? or R. J. Rushdoony’s book The Messianic Character of American Education. It’s about doctrine.

Moore noted a disturbing statistic. He said: “We estimate 70-80 percent of evangelical Christian children who are in public school for their entire educational career are abandoning the church and the Christian faith in their early adult years. About 20 percent return after they get married and start having their own kids. It’s a holocaust going on in our churches, and we’re trying to fight a culture war while our resources are being depleted.” Some of us are trying to fight a culture war. Many, many Christians are not even aware there’s a culture war being fought or that they and their children are the victims. Christian ignorance in this area is legion. Lots don’t have a clue and they prefer it that way. As I’ve stated in previous articles, it’s easier for some churches to just shoot the messenger than it is to listen to the message. After all. little Johnnie’s history teacher is a Christian–doesn’t that make it alright? No it doesn’t. Unfortunately, especially in the South, Christians are really gung ho about public schools–which are part of the “reconstruction” their great grandparents were forced to endure.

And Moore said, quite accurately, that public schools are “indoctrinating children with a Marxist view of American history, environmentalism, evolution and other bizarre radical agendas.” But then this isn’t new. It’s been going on in the South since 1866 and in the North since the 1830s–and no matter where you go, North or South, Christians are busy gobbling it up, feeding the monster, and they don’t want you telling them they shouldn’t. When my wife and I started to home school, we got more opposition from Christians than from anyone else, so I know whereof I speak on this subject. Thanks be to God the church we now attend has a classical Christian school and lots of folks that home school. But in the past it wasn’t always that way.

And for Christians who think all the bad stuff happens in someone else’s school, I will close with an article I got from http://www.lifesitenews.com for April 20th of this year. The headline for the article is Lesbian Teacher: How I convince kids to accept gay ‘marriage’ starting at 4-years old. The article goes on to describe how this teacher in a primary grade in a public school in Ontario told a group at a homosexual activist conference how she has been using her classroom to convince children as young as four years old to accept homosexual relationships. She thought Kindergarten was “a great place to start.” What’s more, she got encouragement from the principal to go from class to class to talk about “what gay means.” This lady claims she has a “wife” at home. Folks, this is what goes on in many public schools–and just because this one happens to be in Ontario doesn’t mean you don’t have this stuff going on here.

Every time I read a story about some Christian youngster being harassed in a public school and the parent goes and complains, and nothing gets done, I wish I could shout “why do you leave your child in there? For Heaven sake, get him or her OUT!” I have friends in the Confederate and Southern Heritage movements that are teaching their kids and grandkids accurate American history after school and on weekends because they realize what the kids are getting in public school is utter drivel.

Unless Christians start waking up and realizing that they are in a culture war and that a major part of that war is being waged on them through the government school system, we will continue to lose 60 percent of our Christian kids to the world after they graduate and it won’t have made any difference whether little Johnnie’s history teacher was a Christian or not–protecting his job will have prevented him from telling little Johnnie the truth!

Government Schools—the god that failed on purpose

By Al Benson Jr.

In the past I have commented on how most people view public schools, how many have commented on their gross failure to educate and I have stated that the public schools have really not failed—at what they were instituted to do—the dumbing down of our kids. At this they have been a smashing success.

What they have failed to do, and this is on purpose, is to educate the children committed to their charge. They continue to turn out graduates who don’t even know what century the War of Northern Aggression was fought in or who Hitler was, or who was president before our current Commissar took the office.

I am not saying that every public school teacher is a “bad” person or even that everyone working for a public school system is a bad person—I have a niece that is a public school teacher and she is well acquainted with many of the tragic problems in that system. There are lots of good folks that, in one way or another, work in the public school system and it’s not them that are evil—it’s the system itself and the agenda of the Educational Establishment in this country.

The main problem with the public, or government, school system is that its founders and true adherents have a messiah complex. The wish to replace the Triune God with their educational system—not to educate children, but to control and manipulate them—to make them into compliant little robots to be used by the New World Order as they deem fit. The mindset of those running the current governmental education establishment goes all the way back to the Tower of Babel—they are going to build a tower that reaches to Heaven and make a name for themselves and create a people that will do their will, not God’s.

Unfortunately “their will” is something most Christians and patriotic people wish to remain blissfully unaware of. “Don’t tell us that “right-wing stuff” we don’t want to be aware of all that. If we are we might have to assume some responsibility personally for our kids’ education, and that’s the absolute last thing we want.” Personal responsibility—ugh!!! Forget that—let the schools do it—and the public schools are only too happy to do it—at the expense of your kids’ souls!

Just recently, I came across an article on http://www.thearrowsoftruth.com titled The Rockefeller School System: Compulsory Indoctrination Camps for Social Control that was published back in November of 2012. The article stated: “The first federalized U.S. educaton boar was the 1870 founded NEA (National Education Administration) which quickly announced that countrywide school science courses must be restructured to teach ‘evolution’ as fact, not theory. Having gained a fair amount of pull in the NEA, in 1903, John D. Rockefeller created the GEB (General Education Board) in an effort toward ‘this goal of social control.’ Later, in 1923 he would also created the International Education Board providing over $20 million to promote education abroad. The Rockefeller, Carnegie and Ford groups have often funded (and thus steered) American education more so even than the government.” One thing you need to realize here from this statement is that these people are the “real government” that calls the shots and the people you thought you elected to office are often little more than political puppets being directed by the Rockefellers, Carnegies, Fords, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderbergers. That’s where the real power in this country lies—not in those you voted for—they are just the “house slaves” carrying out Massa’s orders, for which they get “house privileges” and assorted perks.

The article continues: “Reading through the papers of the Rockefeller Foundation’s General Education Board an endowment rivaled in school policy influence in the first half of the twentieth century only by Andrew Carnegie’s various philanthropies, seven curious elements force themselves on the curious reader: 1. There appears a clear intention to mold people through schooling. 2. There is a clear intention to eliminate tradition and scholarship. 3. The net effect of various projects is to create a strong class system verging on caste. 4. There is a clear intention to reduce mass critical intelligence while supporting infinite specialization. 5. There is clear intention to weaken parental influence. 6 There is clear intention to overthrow accepted custom. 7. There is a striking congruency between the cumulative purposes of GEB and the utopian precepts of the oddball religious sect, once known as Perfectionism, a secular religion aimed at making the perfection of human nature, not salvation or happiness, the purpose of existence. The agenda of philanthropy, which had so much to do with the schools we got, turns out to contain an intensely political component.” And this is a quote from the John Taylor Gatto book The Underground History of American Education.

And the article gives a short list of organizations funded by the Rockefellers. Some of them are: Atlantic Union, Council on Foreign Relations, Federation of World Governments, The Trilateral Commission World Affairs Council, United World Federalists. Notice any trends in this list? All of these groups in one way or another promote World government.

In his informative book The Rockefeller File which I believe can be found on the Internet, author Gary Allen noted comments by a former Baptist pastor, Frederick Taylor Gates, who had pastured a church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Gates left that pastorate, was appointed secretary of the American Baptist Education Society, and, in that post, he championed a Baptist university in Chicago, which became the University of Chicago—one of the most leftist universities in the country. In 1889, Gates met John D. Rockefeller and became one of his advisors. Gary Allen has observed that: “Daddy Oilbucks (Rockefeller) put his assistant, Fred Gates, in charge of his General Education Board. Gates tipped the Rockefeller philosophy on education in the Board’s Occasional Paper No. 1: In our dreams we have limitless resources and the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present educational conventions fade from our minds, and unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk.” Gives you the warm fuzzies doesn’t it?

Some commentators have claimed this quote was taken out of context and really doesn’t mean what it sounds like, but if “Rev.” Gates ended up as an advisor to Rockefeller then you have to know that this One World mindset about educational control is where he was coming from. Had it not been, then Rockefeller would have had no use for him. And you have to wonder, looking at the University of Chicago now, where the Baptists lost control. I recall reading a little book, years ago entitled How Red is the University of Chicago?

Allen also noted that “The Rockefeller and Carnegie foundations, which often had interlocking directorates and many times acted in unison, began in the early Thirties to back John Dewey and his Marxist educationists with enormous amounts of money.” This is the same John Dewey that had so much to do with shaping public education in this country, the man that was a signer of Humanist Manifesto 1. Check that one out on the Internet too, while you still can.

The thing to remember here is that those who ran these foundations and had a One World Government mindset are the very ones that financially helped to design the curriculum that most of us were taught in government schools, and they are still doing it. Your kids today are getting fed the same One World Swill we were fed in government schools. It was, and still is, anti-Christian, as it was intended to be from the beginning. You can have all the Christian teachers you want in public schools, but if they are forced to teach this stuff, whether knowingly or not, where is their Christian testimony? The sincere teachers and the kids have been sold down the river and are forced to partake of the One World outlook that goes all the way back to the Tower of Babel. I realize the folks, even Christians, that prefer to have their kids “educated” in this setting won’t be influenced by what I have written here, but at least they will not be able to say no one ever told them. Lots of folks over the past hundred or so years have told them and the fact that they are not listening in the main is one reason this country will be judged.

And, coincidentally, in this vein, Sam Blumenfeld and Alex Newman have just written a book called Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians Are Using Government Schools To Destroy America’s Children. This was published by WND Books in April of this year.

More Home Schoolers Because of “Commie Core”

by Al Benson Jr.

Just this morning someone sent me an article from the Charlotte Observer in Charlotte, North Carolina, http://media.charlotteobserver.com  about the recent rise in home schooling in the state of North Carolina.

The article noted: “North Carolina’s home schools are growing at a record rate and are now estimated to have more students  than the state’s private schools. New figures from the state show there were 60,950 home schools in the 2013-14 school year, a 14.3 percent increase from the prior year and a 27 percent increase from two years ago. The state estimates there are 98,172 home-schoolers, marking the first time that North Carolina’s home school enrollment surpassed the number in private schools.”

Kevin McClain, president of North Carolinians For Home Education, which is a state-wide support group for home schoolers stated: “You can send your child to a private school–which is really expensive–or you can home-school. The economy means that, for many people, you home-school.” My wife and I can identify with that. When we could no longer afford to send our kids (now grown) to a Christian school, then we started to home school them. That was the only other option open to us. Sending them to the local government school was never an option because we knew the real history of the public school system, and no way were our kids going to be part of that. Thanks be to God, our six grandchildren are now being home schooled.

When home schooling first became legal in North Carolina way back in 1985 there were about 2,300 home schooled students in that state, so you can see how the movement has grown in the last twenty five-plus years.

And the Charlotte Observer article observed that: “The recent growth spurt has coincided with the use of the Common Core standards in math and language arts in North Carolina’s public schools. While hailed by supporters in more than 40 states as providing a more rigorous education, critics have charged that Common Core is not appropriate for some students. ‘Common Core is a big factor that I hear people talk about’ said Beth Herbert, founder of Lighthouse Christian Homeschool Association, which has around 350 families, largely in the northern Wake County area. ‘They’re not happy with the work their kids are coming home with. They’ve decided to take their children home’.” In July the North Carolina General Assembly passed legislation to create a commission that would recommend standards that would replace Common Core, or “Commie Core” as those who had studied this program now refer to it. All I can say is good for North Carolina!

Those who have studied the educational process now going on in this country, if such it can still be called, have come to realize that this whole Common Core program is nothing more than the educational arm of the Marxist Critical Theory agenda. On the 8th of August I did an article dealing with this for this blog spot. Go back and check it out.

It seems that the Critical Theory problems with Common Core have finally gotten some people to sit up and take notice of what is going on in public schools. This Marxist project won’t wake everybody up–there are some folks that will never wake up to what goes on in public schools–but more and more are beginning to see that these indoctrination centers we call schools have some real problems and that the result of those problems will be dumped on their kids if they leave them in those institutions.

Over the years I have advocated, for Southern folks, that they best thing they can do for their kids is to secede from the public school system. That would be one small step, but a major one, that people could start to take in the process of Cultural Secession. Lots of people today claim they have no confidence in the government anymore. If that is true, then why do they still have confidence in the government’s schools? The “educational” arm of the government is just as corrupt as the rest of it, and we are naive if we think any differently.

Thought US “History” in Public School Couldn’t Get Any Worse? Guess Again

by Al Benson Jr.

Public schools around the country will be reopening later this month for another yearly go at the three B’s–Brainwashing, Baloney, and Buffoonery. Only this year it might even be worse than before, and Heaven only knows, it’s been bad before.

World Net Daily had an article up recently by John Aman dealing with the brainwashing part of this called U.S. History Takes a Drastic Left Turn This Fall.  The article started off with: “High school history teachers nationwide will give their top students a dark retelling of U.S. history this fall, courtesy of the College Board, a nonprofit readiness firm led by Common Core architect David Coleman. The College Board–which administers AP (advanced placement) courses and tests–is rolling out a revised curriculum framework for AP U.S. history, offering the 450,000 students who take AP U.S. history classes a hero-free account of America’s deeply stained past.” The fact that someone affiliated with Common Core is involved with this should tell you where it’s going right off the bat.

The article continued: “Conservative author Stanley Kurtz asserts the College Board is ‘pushing U.S. history as far to the left as it can get away with at the high school level.” John Aman noted that the new “history” leaves out the Pilgrims, John Winthrop, (probably Jamestown, Virginia), Madison, Jefferson, Franklin, and a host of others. The new “history” paints European settlers all as villains who “disrupted ecologically balanced native American society, bringing ‘widespread deadly epidemics,’ a ‘caste system,’ resource exploitation and slavery’…” There’s a grain of truth there, but only a grain, and some of it is downright horse puckey. The American Indians did not have a totally balanced ecological system, there were abuses in some of what they did, it’s just that there were not as many of them so as to make it all that noticeable. As far as Europeans “introducing” slavery into the Americas, some of the Indians already had slaves–other Indians they had captured or stolen from other tribes. The American Indians were no strangers to slavery. And as far as preserving the ecology, some tribes in the West used to run herds of buffalo over cliffs when hunting, and they could never use all the meat they killed that way so they took what they wanted and left the rest to rot.

Aman observed: “Larry Krieger, who has taught U.S. history for 35 years and written numerous widely popular AP and SAT exam prep books, said he reacted with shock and dismay when he read the framework earlier this year.” Krieger said: “It’s relentless left-wing indoctrination, antithetical to everything I believe about teaching and our country’s history…Leaving aside its very leftist bias, it is a very poorly written, unprofessional document…boring and dispiriting.”

And Aman also duly informed us that: “It’s also an anonymous document.  While the College Board convened two committees composed of 27 college professors and teachers to oversee the new curriculum, the actual author or authors and the process used to produce it are unknown.”

So this thing is going to be used for advanced history students in public high schools and we don’t even know who wrote it! Doesn’t that seem a little strange? Nothing to see here folks, just move along! Larry Krieger stated, quite accurately: “When they hired David Coleman, the chief architect of Common Core, they effectively politicized the College Board. The first thing he did was to yoke the SAT to Common Core, and now we’re going to apply Common Core principles to AP courses.” You folks whose kids are going to take SAT tests had better take note of that. If your kids have not yet experienced Common Core (sometimes referred to as Commie Core), they may not do real well on the new SAT tests. Common Core is nothing more than a project to totally standardize all education to fit a government standard, and I mean ALL education. In the end it will affect home schoolers, kids in Christian schools and all others. Unless parents can get their states to renounce this program of total government control of education their kids will be stuck with it forever.

The current Marxist administration, as well as past administrations and future ones, wants to totally control all aspects of our lives and education is one of the biggest of those aspects. If your kids don’t think along the lines the ruling elite desire for them, they might ask embarrassing questions, might even question the right of “authority” to do certain things. Might even become “low-level terrorists” who are guilty of “thought crime.” However, if you are willing to sign on with Commie Core, excuse me, I should have said Common Core, why all that can be avoided and your kids can be educated to become docile little servants of the World System.

If you want to find out just what Common Core and related federal education programs are all about I would recommend a DVD put out by the John Birch Society called “Common Core.” It’s 70 minues long but it’s worth watching if you want to begin to grasp what does on in public schools and what they have in mind to do to your kids. The Birch Society can be contacted at 800-342-6491.

Public “education” in this country as always been leftist and anti-Christian. This is nothing new, but the leftists have now reached a point where they feel they can totally rewrite the history and most of America’s parents won’t know the difference. Over the past 3 years I have had numerous articles on this blog spot that dealt with the continuing leftist slant to public education. And lots of other folks have dealt with it too, not just me. For those that don’t care one way or the other, just go ahead and ignore it all–and lose your kids in the process–but don’t ever come back and say “Why didn’t someone tell us?”

The Feds Get To Decide What He Eats As Well As What He Thinks—More Public School Dictatorship

By Al Benson Jr.

So much material about outright public school abuses comes across my desk it is impossible to cover it all. Someone suggested I write another book but at my age I am not sure if I have the energy.

What I will do is to try to continue to comment on some of the more egregious abuses the government school system heaps on parents in the hope that if some folks read enough of this they might just be led to take their kids out of public schools and give them a Christian education.

I read an article on the fourth of November that was on http://www.libertynews.com  that was a real gem. The headline read “Feds Tell Virginia Mom Her Child Needs A Doctor’s Note to Bring A Bagged Lunch from Home!” It noted a lady in Richmond, Virginia whose youngster attends a federally funded Head Start preschool program. The article by Joe Calandra Jr. states: “…the federal government gets to decide what her child learns and what her child eats too! Mrs. Brooks was informed she can no longer send her child to school with a brown bag lunch unless a doctor says the school lunch would be unsafe for her child to consume. Unless Mrs. Brooks: A—finds a sympathetic doctor, B—decides to homeschool, or C—sends her child to a private school, the state says, they alone, will control what her child eats!” The feds even sent a note home with the kids to make sure Mom gets the message.

You have to wonder why the feds are so concerned with what these kids eat—or is there something in the food they plan to serve these kids that they want to make double-sure they get and they won’t get it if they brown bag their lunches? Now that may sound far out, but with these government schools nowadays you really have to wonder. We know they want to change the kids’ thinking and poison much of what their parents have taught them. Some “educators” have even stated that most children enter the public school in some state of insanity and it’s up to a beneficent government school system to straighten them out but, to my knowledge, up to now they have not complained about what the kids eat. Or does this whole scenario teach both kids and parents that the government is in total control over all they do—that the government is, in fact, the real “god” in their lives? That wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

Back in 1985, theologian and historian R. J. Rushdoony wrote: “To control the future requires the control of education and of the child. Hence, for Christians to tolerate statist education, or to allow their children to be trained thereby, means to renounce power in society, to renounce their children, and to deny Christ’s lordship over all of life.” Rushdoony also observed: “Education is thus the power area in the modern world and the arena for the struggle between Christianity and humanism.”

Rushdoony recognized the critical importance of who controls your children’s education—you or the state. Thus, when you arrive at the point where the state even feels it has the right to tell you what your kids will and will not eat, we have gotten pretty far along the road to total dictatorship.

Sinful man always seeks to dethrone God and install himself in His place and for the last 150 years or so, in this country, sinful man has sought to use public education as one of his major vehicles for doing this. It never ceases to amaze me how many compliant Christians are willing to go along with this and never question it. Almost makes you wonder what they had in their school lunches.

Think of the implications for all of society in this. If Christians renounce their power in society then what happens to society? In Genesis God told His people to be fruitful, to multiply, and to subdue the earth (Genesis 1:28). This was a dominion mandate. Nowadays most Christians treat it as if it were maybe a suggestion, but nothing they have to get really excited about.

Lee Duigon, in an article originally published on http://www.newswithviews.com and reproduced in The Chalcedon Report  for October/November 2013, has stated “The only way to protect your children from ‘public school culture’ is not to put them in the public schools. If you think you can protect them from gender coaches, King and King, and subtler messages like ‘The Bible is hate speech’ and ‘Communism has a lot of good ideas’ by having a nice, civil chin-wag with a teacher or a principal who’s going to think you’re just another homophobic Christian moron—well, you really need to think again But this is precisely the kind of fruitless drivel regularly indulged in by the pro-family movement. They dive for minnows in a pool of sharks. They babble away about nine-year-olds being ‘salt and light’ in schools run by adult immoralists.” They don’t get it—maybe they will never get it.

What we need is more organizations like Exodus Mandate that will tell people right up front that they need to pull their kids out of public schools and give them a Christian education, however they choose to do that.

There are a lot of home school curriculums mentioned on the Internet. Do some homework and check some of them out. When my wife and I started homeschooling there wasn’t that much on the Internet, if it even existed in the late 1980s.I’m not sure whether Al Gore had invented it yet or not. We looked around and found a book by Mary Pride called The Big Book of Home Learning. You can still find it on Amazon.com. It was, literally, a homeschooling encyclopedia and we learned much from it.

It can be done. My wife and I homeschooled our two and we both worked full time. Admittedly our two were a little older, but there are many home school co-op type programs out there if folks are willing to look for them. Although, in some cases, there are folks that absolutely are not able to homeschool, there are many that could if they tried to work at it. And it isn’t always that expensive. For your childrens’ sakes please check it out and see what you can do to avoid the public school dictatorship over your lives and your kids’ lives.

Don’t You Get It Yet? This Is What Public Schools Are All About

By Al Benson Jr.

You sometimes wonder just how much it takes to get people’s attention With all the accurate information out there on the Internet about public schools (along with a certain amount of liberal drivel) people still don’t seem to be able to grasp where the public schools have been going for the last 150 or so years. And when I say that I am not criticizing every public school teacher out there, but rather the system they are, unfortunately, a part of.

It’s not that difficult anymore to trace where public education has been going in this country, and elsewhere, since its inception. Its founders and promoters in the United States were Unitarians and socialists of the stripe of Horace Mann, Robert Owen, and later, John Dewey. These folks all love public education because (they hope) it takes kids out of Christian and home schools and works to make them mere cogs in the machinery of the New World Order, incapable of discernment, and therefore, incapable of resistance to tyranny.

Once in awhile the anti-Christ One World crowd shoots from the hip and messes up like they did in Kanawha County, West Virginia back in the 1970s and what they are trying to do in the schools gets out around the country and so they are forced to enact “damage control” any way they have to. In West Virginia in 1975 they did it with “law enforcement” officers with billy clubs. When all else failed in that situation the billy clubs were brutal, but effective. Will they ever be used again? Will the sun rise in the East tomorrow?

Next year it will be forty years since the textbook protest started in Kanawha County, West Virginia, and parents who have never been told about it still flock to the public schools to submit their kids in a chaotic sort of child sacrifice ritual every year. What’s sacrificed is their souls and minds and they are, mostly, never quite the same afterwards.

I won’t call the public school system anti-god because it isn’t, but it is anti-Christ. Any other “god’ will do, including “omnipotent” man, who is the “god” of secular humanism. This account of what is now going on in Volusia County, Florida will bear this out. Someone sent me this article from http://www.conservativeactionalerts.com  and the headline reads: “Florida Parents Protest pro-Islam Textbook in Volusia County.”
The article started off: “Concerned parents of Volusia County, Florida last night stood in protest against a textbook used to teach world history to public high school students across the state.” According to the article this book is World History  published by Prentiss Hall, which the Florida Department of Education has adopted. The main parental complaint about this book is that it devotes a full chapter to Islam, “while failing to offer the same attention to any other world religion.” To those who understand where the public school system is coming from this will be no surprise. Right now Islam is the politically correct “religion of choice” to be pushed in this country in public schools. After all, hasn’t our President stated plainly that this is not a Christian country and hasn’t he listed all the contributions to our national culture that have been handed to us by Muslims? If you follow his radical rationale we should all have asked for the adoption of Sharia Law on his second day in office.

Apparently there were lots of people that protested the use of this book because the article noted: “Due to the number of protesters, the Volusia County School Board cancelled yesterday’s scheduled meeting for the interest of ‘public safety’ according to Wftv9news. “ In the interest of “public safety” probably could be translated to mean that the county Board of Education did not want to have to deal with all the protesters so they just cancelled the meeting in the hope that most of them would cool down before the next meeting. Does any of this scenario sound familiar? To anyone that has ever protested lousy public school texts it should. A commissioner from Deltona observed that parents just want some balance when it comes to their kids’ books. In fact, he asked the question: “Why relegate Christianity to a footnote in an entire history book, and you give an entire chapter on the teachings of Islam?” Well, yes, if, again, you understand where the public school system is coming from, this is entirely consistent with their agenda.

You denigrate the Christian faith and promote whatever else happens to be handy at the moment—just as long as it has no connection to anything remotely Christian. They use the exact same principle in regard to Confederate flags and symbols, some of which are Christian in origin.
Parents, especially Christian parents, have got to start rethinking their love affair with an anti-Christ public school system. They have got to begin to grasp the concept that their children need a Christian education and they have got to start realizing that they won’t get that in the public school system—even if little Johnny has a teacher that is a Christian. Little Johnny’s teacher won’t dare talk about her Christian faith for fear of losing her job. Now if she were a Muslim Imam that would be fine—she could proselytize in class and the school system would laud her for her contribution to “diversity” but as a Christian to speak out is to forfeit your job. That’s what you are dealing with in public school folks. Get used to the idea.

And if at all possible, pray and ask the Lord to help you find a viable alternative to public schools. There are many out there for those willing to look. It will be interesting to see what happens in Volusia County, Florida—if the “news” media is allowed to deal with it.

If you want to find out what happens when parents in a particular county start resisting anti-Christ curriculum in public schools read Karl Priest’s book Protester Voices–The 1974 Textbook Tea Party which is on Amazon.com or you can order it directly from Karl at 141 Karmel Lane, Poca, West Virginia 25159. The book costs $14.95 plus about $5.00 for shipping.
