Why Do Southerners Continue to Finance the Destruction of Their Children and Culture?

by Al Benson Jr.

It never ceases to amaze me how people can continue to feed their progeny into those Marxist meatgrinders  we refer to as public schools and “institutions of higher learning” and then wonder why their kids come home spouting the lessons they have learned about Marx or Mao or Che and how wonderful the society they have planned for us will be.

People spend literally millions every year paying through the nose for “educations” for their children when, in most cases, all these “educations” are really all about is the planned destruction of their culture and faith. That may sound harsh to some, but having worked around and at colleges, I can attest to what those institutions do to kids’ faith and culture. While I am not indicting every teacher or professor  (there are some honest ones, though not nearly enough) I do indict the systems they work for that claim to be about “education” but are really about student indoctrination.

Confirmation of my viewpoint was driven home to me awhile back by a friend in Georgia who has been part of the Southern Movement and happened to have a Confederate flag in his garage. One day his grandson came over and asked him why he had that “racist” flag in his garage. The grandson attends the local public school. Realizing there was a definite problem with his grandson’s history education, Grandpa has taken it upon himself to work with his grandson to correct some of the gross errors  perpetrated by that school’s “history” or “social studies” teachers and, at last report, it seemed to be helping out. And that is good. But how many grandsons across the South and other places have this same historical bilge thrown at them where there is no help from concerned grandfathers or dads? Too many!  And our history and our culture are being systematically trashed–and we are willingly paying for it!

The same is true of colleges in the South. Many naive Southern folks think they can just avoid these problems by making sure their kids attend Southern colleges and don’t go north for their higher education. That could have been true 130 years ago or so–but no more. Southern colleges have been thoroughly infiltrated by the minions of cultural Marxism every bit as much as those in Yankeeland, and we had better wake up and smell the college coffee–and I can guarantee you won’t like the aroma–it has the smell of the far, far Left!

A case in point–Richard Meagher, a political science professor at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Professor Meagher just had an op-ed piece printed in the Richmond Times-Dispatch for January 1, 2017. The headline for his piece was A plea for the new year: No more Confederate nonsense, please.  Meagher admits he is a transplanted Northerner and that, therefore, he feels his opinion will be worthless to a good number of Virginia folks and other Southerners as well–yet here he is, teaching in the South, and spreading that opinion to lots of Southern young folks. I guess he figures if he can’t change their parents’  minds the least he can do is to indoctrinate the kids and change theirs. This was a classic “reconstruction” tactic after the War of Northern Aggression. Ignore the parents and indoctrinate the kids.

If what he says in his op-ed piece is a sample of what he promotes in his classes then those kids that sit in his classes are in trouble. Meagher states: “When I teach my politics courses, I remind students that the long history of American politics boils down to the repeated need to placate racist Southerners. Beginning with the three-fifths compromise in the Constitution, and continuing through decades of compromise to prevent a Civil War, Northern politicians did their best to tolerate a brutal apartheid   regime that was improbably nested within their developing democracy.” And he states later that: “To put it bluntly: The Confederates were the bad guys, as were their Jim Crow descendants.  They lost, and the country is immeasurably better for it.” Really? Someone should ask Mr. Meagher about the Jim Crow laws in Illinois sometime, though I doubt if he’d acknowledge the existence of them, but exist they did, whether he will admit it or not.

Meagher has no patience with Southern claims about states rights or that the War was about the principle of secession. He labels those claims as “preposterous.” You can tell from the running dog of his commentary that all his students will ever get out of his classes is that the War was fought over slavery. For him there is no other reason worthy of mention, and besides we all know–that the Confederates were the bad guys, right? You can bet your kids will know that after sitting at the feet of the “master.”

Mr. Meagher attended the City University of New York where he got his Ph. D. so I guess that is the line they preach there. Although you would have thought, with a Ph. D. he would have realized that is country was a Republic, not a “developing democracy,” but the difference between the two seems lost on him.

What it all boils down to is this–we have just got to cease celebrating all this “Confederate nonsense” and we “need to stop holding up the Confederacy as something to honor.” In other words, the Yankee/Marxists don’t like what we do here in the South and so we just need to stop doing it to keep them happy. And when we stop doing this or that they don’t like, why before long, they will appear with another demand to cease and desist from something else they don’t like. Do you begin to see where all this is headed?

As you can see, the systematic attack on Confederate history and heritage has already begun for 2017. Meagher fired the opening shot on New Year’s day–he didn’t even wait for the warm weather like the cultural Marxists did the last two years. And good Southern patriots better not wait for the warm weather to answer him either. The battle for your culture, faith, and heritage has already been joined for 2017. The only question is–how long will it take before us “bad guys” decide to fight back???

Louisiana Had (and Has) Precious Little to Thank Washington For

by Al Benson Jr.

Have just finished reading Richard Taylor and the Red River Campaign of 1864 by Samuel W. Mitcham Jr. It was a very informative book on the infamous Red River Campaign (and Union cotton-stealing expedition) in Louisiana in the Spring of 1864.

Union General (and presidential aspirant) Nathaniel (Commissary) Banks led a Union army of over 30,000 men, which included several U S Navy boats and Commodore David Dixon Porter in a campaign to capture Shreveport, Louisiana for the glorious Union. The Navy folks and their vessels were supposedly along to aid General Banks in this effort, but most of them were much more interested in “appropriating” as much Louisiana cotton as they could get their hands on. Made no difference whether it was cotton owned by the Confederate government or privately-owned cotton, as the Navy got a cut out of whatever they managed to “confiscate.”

Opposing this Northern redistribution of Southern wealth by Lincoln’s “indestructible” Union was General Richard Taylor and a little over 5,000 men, mostly from Louisiana, Texas and Arizona. Believe it or not, with over 30,000 men and the help of the U S Navy, Banks couldn’t get it done, and Dick Taylor, as they say here in Louisiana, “whupped his ass.”

After he got as far as Mansfield and got solidly beaten there, Banks started his retreat back south. But at first he refused to call it a retreat, rather he labeled it a “retrograde” movement. That’s Yankee/Marxist language for a retreat without coming out and admitting it. However, the Yankee/Marxist soldiers who had been legitimately defeated at Mansfield were going to make sure they got back at the folks in Louisiana because they tried to defend their homes and property. Louisiana folks hadn’t learned that when the Yankee/Marxists come calling then defending your home and property is a no-no. Yankee/Marxists have no use whatever for private property–unless they can steal it, and naturally they always steal it for “the people.”

According to Mr. Mitcham, Confederate Lt. Col. Francis Richard Lubbock wrote: “The demoralized enemy in their retreat left no houses or fences, stock or supplies, behind them.  Everything of any possible value was taken or destroyed.” And Elias P. Pellet of the 114th New York Volunteers was honest enough to agree with Lubbock in his history of the 114th Regiment when he wrote: “Destruction and desolation followed on the trail of the retreating column. At night, the burning buildings mark our pathway. As far as the eye can reach, we see in front new fires breaking out, and in the rear the dying embers tell the tale of war. Hardly a building is left unharmed…The wanton and useless destruction of property has well earned (A. J. Smith’s) command a lasting disgrace…” A. J. (Whiskey) Smith was one of the Yankee/Marxist commanders under Banks and he had that nickname because he was rather too fond of the bottle.

Mr Mitcham also write: “To deprive both Rebels and civilians of food and water, wells were fouled and animals were shot, including cows, calves, hogs, horses, chickens, and mules. Houses, barns, corncribs, smokehouses, chicken coops, and Negro cabins were all burned.” It seems that “Firebug” Sherman in Georgia was not the only Yankee/Marxist arsonist during the War. It was probably a toss-up between Whiskey Smith and Phil Sheridan in Virginia as to who would get second place to Sherman. This commentary regarding Yankee arsonism is on page 250 of Mr. Mitcham’s book. He continues with more of the same on pages 259-60. Not fun reading unless you are a Yankee arsonist. They literally destroyed everything in their path even when it had no military value. You have to understand, they were making war on civilians as well as soldiers, and what’s more, they seemed to enjoy doing it.

On page 306 Mr. Mitcham made a very telling observation, which most folks today would probably not even think about. He wrote: “It took Louisiana almost a century to recover from the war,  and it has yet to recover its previous position. In 1860, it was ranked second in the Union in per capita income, and half of all American millionaires lived along the Natchez-New Orleans axis. Today it ranks forty-first in per capita income…”

The thought occurred to me, as I read this, that, starting with the major cotton theft here in Louisiana and in other places in the South as well, the War of Northern Aggression was one gigantic redistribution of the wealth scheme, not only to destroy our culture but to bleed us dry financially also. Didn’t von Clauswitz say that “war was the pursuit of political goals by ‘other means.'” If the “political goal” is to destroy the South, then for the Yankee/Marxist, war is a legitimate option.

You might say that this was the “Neanderthal version” of cultural Marxism, along with “reconstruction” later that was to deliver the coup d’ etat to the culture, faith, and financial stability of the South.  They weren’t able to take it quite as far as they would have liked to, but give the Yankee/Marxists credit–they did their absolute best to contribute to our destruction and demise as a distinct people–and they are still working on that as I write this.

Our problem is that the majority of our folks don’t realize that “those people” are still fighting their war against us. We quit fighting. They didn’t! All they did was to change their tactics. We are seeing the latest development of their new tactics in our day.

To their way of thinking the War will not be over until they have completely destroyed us, our faith and culture. They want our grandchildrens’ souls in their hip pocket. That’s a truth we have to begin to realize and so far, I don’t think we’ve grasped it yet.

Whether the Cultural Marxists Destroy Your Culture Or Not Just May Be Up To You

by Al Benson Jr.

Recently a good friend of mine in New England sent me a copy of a new book just out, written by Arthur R. Thompson, present CEO of the John Birch Society. I am still working my way through the introduction after skimming several pages here and there throughout the book.

While I think there might be a couple of areas Mr. Thompson and I might disagree about, over all, this looks to me like a book worth reading and as I go, I will probably end up doing an article or two on what he brings out.

What immediately struck me when I got the book was the title, To The Victors Go The Myths and Monuments. In light of the cultural Marxist assault on our faith, flags,  monuments and history here in the South over the past several years, especially in the last year or so, the title of the book sounded almost prophetic.

Over the years we’ve all heard the old remark that “the winners get to write the history books” and that’s true. No argument there. Problem is, that’s not as far as it goes. Not only do the winners get to write and promote their narrative of what happened, if they are vindictive enough (and the Yankee/Marxist IS a vindictive animal) they will try to change your whole culture, mindset, worldview, and not only yours, but also your children’s. If they are successful in erasing your unique culture from the minds and consciousness of your children, then your children, in a very real sense, become “their” children because they have conditioned them in regard to how they should think and reason. So most people in this situation end up losing more than they think.

The heinous onslaught against literally everything Confederate or Southern that started back in June of 2015 shocked so many Southern folks that they literally sat benumbed as it occurred, not sure what to make of it or do about it. The cultural Marxists had a field day before most Southern folks woke up. When some did awaken, they started to push back, and, all things considered, did a pretty good job for awhile. There were Confederate flag rallies and Confederate flag caravans on some major highways in the South, and Confederate flags went up all over the place. More in my area than ever I’d seen before and I have to admit they sure were pretty to look at.

However, the cultural Marxists, being if nothing else, keen students of human nature, anticipated all this. They realized that, after a certain point, their agenda would get pushback, and when it got to that point they stopped, sat down, and took a breather for the rest of the year. They knew what they were going to do. Their opposition mostly didn’t have a clue, so when the cultural Marxists backed off so did their opposition. The flags came down,  the caravans ceased, the rallies ceased, and lots of Southern folks, thinking they’d won a victory of sorts, went home and rested on their laurels. The cultural Marxists had only stopped to take a breather, not to quit. The average Southerner where he was involved at all,  went home, turned on the television and went back to sleep.

Guess what? This Spring it started all over again and if you are prone to watch the “news” on television or in what we laughingly refer to as the “newspapers” you can see, if you are perceptive at all, that this year is going to be a repeat performance of last year–only worse! The cultural Marxists she shifting into high gear again and most of the rest of us have yet to bestir ourselves. Always takes longer to get up and going on the second go-round. Takes longer to get psyched up to do it all over again, and some just never quite seem to make it. So the boob tube and the reality shows claim yet more cultural victims!

Much of this ran through my mind when I saw the title of Mr. Thompson’s new book. It was like I could hear the cultural Marxists telling us all “We’ve got you on the run now, and we WILL take down your flags, your monuments, rewrite your history, change your place names and street names, and when we get through, you won’t recognize anything anymore. Your culture and the memory of it will be erased and you will have no future because you  have allowed us to rewrite your past.”

So we need to ask ourselves–is this the legacy we want to leave our grandchildren? Only we can answer that question–and how we answer it will determine how much of what the Lord has given us we are willing to fight to preserve. So think about it. Pray about it–and do what the Lord would have you to do. And then get out and DO it!

How About “Civil War” Re-enactments With No Battle Flags?

by Al Benson Jr.

This is the weekend for the re-enactment of the tragic Battle of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania. Re-enactors come from all across the country to take part in one army or the other. However, one Pennsylvania politician does not welcome the Confederate Battle Flag. Undoubtedly there are others but this lady is creating somewhat of a hostile environment by her commentary on the flag. Southern hospitality is something that apparently does not abide in her

The lady is Rep. Vanessa Lowery Brown, a Democrat from Philadelphia and she has quite a history. According to a recent article on http://abc27.com  Brown “…recently protested a Confederate flag in a display at the state Capitol…and Gov. Tom Wolf ordered it removed. Brown says its a symbol of hatred and murder which wasn’t mentioned in the Capitol display and likely won’t be on the battlefield reenactment.” She’s right–it probably won’t be mentioned–for the simple reason that it is not true. Whether Ms. Brown realizes that or not I don’t claim to know. Brown said “If they’re not going to tell the story properly, then they should not be displayed and they should not be reenacted unless they are going to tell the truth.” Ms. Brown is a cultural Marxist, whether she even realizes it or not (though I think she does) and what her statement means in that context is that if the story is not told in a way that is compatible  with the cultural Marxist agenda then it should not be told at all or the history should simply be rewritten to fit the cultural Marxist agenda because that’s what most of these “memory hole” Marxists are really all about. Brown just makes the statement that the flag is a symbol of murder and hate. Where’s her proof for such a statement? Black soldiers fought under that flag. Were they murderers too? Ms. Brown is either woefully ignorant of the real history or she fervently hopes those who listen to her inflammatory statement are.

But then Ms. Brown has some interesting connections.  Back in September, 2013 Ms. Brown was scheduled to be the featured speaker at the Coatesville Area NAACP Diamond Anniversary Celebration. I don’t know if she got to speak or not but she was listed to so we can assume she did and we can also assume that, had she not agreed with the NAACP’s cultural Marxist program she wouldn’t have been invited.

Also back in June, 2013, according to http://www.pahouse.com Ms. Brown “…announced the hiring of John Jordan as her chief of staff for her Philadelphia constituent services office…His most recent position was the director of civic engagement for the Pennsylvania NAACP, where he spearheaded the fight against the voter ID law…” Like I said, Brown has some interesting connections and lots of them seem to spell NAACP.

In the process of all this checking, I ran across another article on http://fellowshipoftheminds.com posted on March 17, 2014 by a Dr. Eoywn. The headline for this one was Corrupt Pennsylvania officials caught in sting are all black Democrats. The article started off: “Angela Couloumbis and Craig McCoy report for The Philadelphia Inquirer, March 16, 2014, that a 3-year undercover sting operation by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office captured five state officials  on tape accepting money…” The article listed the five officials, one of which was “State Rep. Vanessa Brown who took $4,000 in exchange for voting against a bill requiring  voters to show identification at the polls. Brown did vote against the bill…” Another representative got $3,500, but said she could not recall taking any bribe. I suppose the Tooth Fairy brought her the money and left it under her pillow at night. Last I read Ms. Brown was still awaiting trial in July of 2015 because she didn’t have a lawyer. Supposedly Brown had signed an agreement to plead guilty but pulled out before she was to appear in court. That bit of into is from http://www.witf.org

Folks, these are the kind of people that are out there denigrating your culture and heritage because they want to replace it with what they have to offer and what they have to offer (cultural Marxism) is not what we want. The assault on our faith, culture, history and heritage continues this year just as it did last year and we need to begin again to resist it this year and keep on resisting it. Ms. Brown displays the cultural agenda that is supposed to replace our culture and history if we give in to those people. Ask yourself–is this what you want? If not, then you need to stand up and fight back.

Just So You’ll Know–I’m not only picking on the Southern Baptists!

by Al Benson Jr.

My last couple articles have dealt with problems in the Southern Baptist Convention, specifically with their Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission and its position as a non-governmental entity in the United Nations, which position means that it has to agree with the objectives of the United Nations as expressed in the UN Charter. Suffice it to say that such objectives are at war with the Christian faith.

However, in all honesty, there are other churches that have similar problems. Lest anyone think I enjoy picking on the Southern Baptists ( I don’t) I will note an article recently read that deals with the Presbyterians (of which I am one, but not, thank Heaven, in the denomination noted here).

In an article on http://www.layman.org the headline for June 22nd read “Prayers to Allah offered at PCUSA’s General Assembly plenary session”  The article started out with “Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path–the path of all the prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad.”

There was more but that’s enough for you to get the idea. The prayer was offered by a Wajidi Said from the Portland Muslim Community, as part of the “first order of business” during the opening plenary session of the 222nd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The article noted that: “At the conclusion of the afternoon plenary session on Wednesday, June 22, the Stated Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. Gradye Parsons, offered an apology. He said that he had become aware that some had found the prayer of Saturday offensive. Parsons said that sometimes mistakes can be made in ecumenical relationships and stated it was not intentional.” I’m glad someone was offended! My question is–Why do you have a Muslim even praying at the beginning of a Presbyterian General Assembly to begin with??? Whose brainchild was that? Did someone sit up all night thinking that one up so the local Muslims wouldn’t be “offended” that a Presbyterian meeting was being conducted in their area?

Does it even begin to occur to anyone that when you entertain people of different religions as part of your program you are surrendering a little bit of your Christian truth so they can give you a little bit of their pagan error? Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to reach people of other religious persuasions with the Gospel. You should. But inviting them to come in as unbelievers and pray in your official meetings shouldn’t be one of the ways you do it. That just doesn’t cut the mustard!

More and more in our day we seem to be seeing a brand of evangelicalism that has a soft underbelly that is open to all manner of compromise with anyone and because we seem to have gotten to the point where we don’t stand for much of anything anymore, the world runs over us and we let them. I’m sorry, but this is not Christian love. It is abject surrender and we should not be doing it.

I wonder of the PCUSA ever took any position on taking down Confederate flags? If they did, I almost shudder to think what it was.

A Different Viewpoint On The South Being Sold Out In Congress

by Al Benson Jr.

The last article on this blog noted that some of our Southern state flags had been removed in Sodom on the Potomac because they supposedly represented slavery and “racism” and because they “offended” certain parts of the populace of the states in question. Again, no thought or consideration was given to those of us that had ancestors that fought under Confederate banners. We are not worthy of consideration. We just pay most of the bills to keep this monstrosity we call a government going. What consideration to we deserve for that? None at all.

Which brings me to the comments of a friend of mine from North Carolina regarding this situation. I must admit he took a little different perspective than I did but, with a little reflection, I can understand where he is coming from. And there may well be other folks out there that feel just like he does. So I am going to pass his remarks along because I think they deserve consideration–given all the talk about secession that we have heard in recent months.

Regarding the flag situation in Washington, Jimmy said: Call me crazy, but I say this is good news. Why should the Alabama flag, or any Southern state flag for that matter, continue to fly where we are NOT represented–even by those we send there? The Marxists who comprise the Politburo on the Potomac serve at the pleasure of the New World Order. Their agenda is about continual forced assimilation, and additional phases of forced Reconstruction. They are proven traitors and as such, all we get from them is betrayal, insult, and torment. I say we bring home all our state flags and any other regional representation from that pinko-poisoned cesspool…  My friend said a little more, but you get his point. There are lots of folks here in the South that have gotten flat-out tired of being treated like Washington’s bastard children because their ancestors had the courage to stand up and secede when the necessity arose–and before I go any further, secession was not treason and the South did not secede so they could keep their slaves! They could’ve done that and remained in the Union. Those that howl about the War being all about slavery and “racism” are either “useful idiots” for the Marxists or they are just plain liars, or they hope you never bother to do any homework to check out all the baloney  they throw, or they might be all three!

Whatever their problems are, they willfully slander every honest and sincere Southern person who had ancestors that fought for the Confederacy. I was born and raised in the North, but I had a Confederate ancestor just like lots of Southern folks (and some folks living in the North) do. The vast majority of our Confederate ancestors never owned a slave, never thought of owning a slave and did not go to fight so their neighbor down the road apiece who had some slaves could keep them. Anyone who knows what the Confederate soldiers put up with, (those that survived) for four horrible years knows that drivel such as that is beyond ludicrous. And the race-baiters know it too–but that line is their bread and butter and they know that if they push it hard enough long enough the “civil rights” money tree might come into sight a little ways off and the financial “year of jubilee” might be at hand–so they keep on pushing! That it’s all a pack of lies makes no difference–they’ve got their hands out for that reparations money, baby. These people are nothing more than modern carpetbaggers, trying to grab all they can while they can and if they can smear our ancestors in the process that’s the frosting on the cake for them!

Maybe Jimmy has a point. Maybe we in the South should bring our flags back home because they and us sure don’t get honest representation in Washington. All we get from Washington is a finger-pointing “president” who condescendingly tells us we need to have a “conversation” about race. Problem is, for him, it’s always a one-way conversation with him doing all the talking and us sitting on our “stools of everlasting repentance” with our heads bowed dutifully taking his verbal tongue-lashing and inhaling all the Marxist rhetoric he throws in our faces. Some of us are getting a little tired of that, too.

So maybe we shouldn’t worry about them taking our flags down in Washington, as long as they send them back to us. Maybe we should start concentrating on what they plan to do with our flags right here in our respective states and be prepared to deal with that. If the present trend continues this year you have to know the ethnic cleaning campaign to remove all Southern and Confederate flags, symbols and monuments will be ratcheted up. They definitely plan on doing a hatchet job on the state flag in Mississippi this year so that fact needs to be dealt with right here, in Mississippi, not in Washington where you are guaranteed to be sold out, even by some you elected to office. What Mississippi folks have now got to concentrate on is the people in their own state government that will sell them out if given half a chance, and I’m sure the same holds true for other states down here.

With their leftist ethnic cleansing campaign they have brought the fight right here to us. We need to pick up the cudgel and fight back!

Do Southern Americans Even Have Any Real Congressional Representation Anymore?

by Al Benson Jr.

This is a question I have begun to ask myself of late, and I’m not altogether sure I like the answer I’ve been getting. In some few cases the answer may be yes, but in an increasing number of cases the answer coming up is a resounding NO! Most elected representatives in Washington do not really represent the voters in their states. Many are little more than political shills for the Ruling Establishment and the New World Order clique , and their agenda is to take us down that path as quickly and as bloodlessly as possible. But if they have to spill some blood (ours) then that’s okay too. Their agenda is to make us all hate our history an heritage and love Big Brother.

Part of their method of fostering our love affair with Big Brother is to try to “educate” us into viewing our history, our culture, and eventually our Christian faith, in a negative light. All these have to go, you see, for their New World Order to succeed.

Nowhere is this more evident than in the secular (humanist) halls of Washington. Our flags and symbols must go before we can be properly programmed to “love” Big Brother.

To that end, there was a story on USA Today http://www.usatoday.com  for April 21st about Confederate emblems being removed at the US Capitol. The article noted: “State flags, including the controversial Mississippi flag featuring the Confederate battle emblem, will no longer hang in the tunnel at the US Capitol where each had been displayed. Rep. Candice Miller, R-Mich., said Thursday the flags, which had been removed during renovation, will be replaced with prints of each state’s commemorative coin.” Isn’t that touching? Other states get their flags back but some Southern states get a picture of their state coin instead. Any Southern congressperson complain about this? Sounds like discrimination to me–all the state flags are equal but some are less equal than others. What about the majority of the people in the states those flags represent? Well, Ms. Miller gushes on about the feelings of those that find our state flags offensive and how she is “sympathetic” to their views. What about the views of those of us that don’t see these state flags in that light? If the truth be told, (and don’t expect to hear it from the politicians) our views don’t matter. Should youi happen to be a Mississippian and happen to like your state flag the way it is, why  you must be a”racist” or a “homophobe” or a “male chauvinist pig” or whatever other title the cultural Marxist crowd can sling at you–and your views, and mine, do not matter! Get that through your heads. Our views do not count! And most of our elected officials will not stand up for us! A small, small handful will, but the rest are bought and sold. Their souls already belong to Big Brother!  Southerners who appreciate their culture and history are now persona non grata. You don’t count! I don’t count! So quit thinking you are just going to vote Republican in November and straighten it all out. You ain’t!

The agenda this year will be the same as last year–only worse. You will be subjected to yet another round of cultural purges and your flags, symbols, monuments, and history will be continually denigrated, in Washington, in the media, in our “halls of learning” and this will continue until many of you will feel ashamed to stand up and defend them. This is the first step in learning to “love” Big Brother. Get you to start denying what you have loved  and believed in, and you are half way there. And if they can get you to deny it, then you won’t be bothered trying to pass any of it along to your children or grandchildren, and that’s part of the plan, too. Your descendants must be brought up and “educated” in an environment where they are taught not to fight back, not to resist,  but only to acquiesce to the “will of the majority”  (really minority).

As time passes more and more of you will begin to realize that your elected officials really don’t give a hoot about you and what you want. They are mostly there to serve the interests of those wanting to change your culture into some monstrosity none of us will even recognize. And they expect you and I to be quiet and learn to do what they (and their bosses) want.

The French Revolution was a perfect example of their agenda. Remove everything form the past, including God, and start over with a blank slate, naturally with no “god” but the state. You see, in all of these things, there is always a theological perspective. They just don’t tell you that.

Those who read history will know where all that took them–straight to the guillotine  and the “Reign of Terror.” They thought man was perfectible, by their standards, and that, without God, they could build a modern Tower of Babel and get to Heaven by their own efforts, and hence, be their own “gods.” France has yet to recover totally from this silly humanist experiment–and now their spiritual descendants  want the same for this country–beginning with the South.

So whether people recognize it or not, spiritual warfare has been declared on the South, (actually it’s been going on since 1861) but we were told it was all “political” so don’t worry about it. But now it must become relentless. It almost seems that the Devil’s disciples feel their time might be getting short and they’ve got to put us and our culture and symbols, including Christian symbols, down as quickly as possible. Hint–in the long run, they won’t make it!

My question is, how many Southern folks will wake up and realize that this is a spiritual battle, that we will get no help or support from government at any level, nor even from many of our churches that have, unknowingly or otherwise, sold out to the New Workd Order.

Maybe we’ve gotten to the point we should have started at in the beginning. We will have to turn to the Trinitarian God of Holy Scripture for help and ask His guidance and strength to know how to fight back against those who would seek to destroy not only our culture but our faith as well. That is their ultimate objective. Let us pray that the Lord will be pleased to use us in some small way in His fight against evil, and especially the culture-destroying part of it we are faced with today.

Federal Judge Promotes Cultural Marxism in Mississippi

by Al Benson Jr.

Just because you are a federal judge doesn’t mean that your rulings have to make any sense. All it means is that those rulings have to conform, above all, to the prevailing political theology. And the prevailing political theology (and it is a theology, make no mistake) is that any and all things Southern, white, and Christian must be uprooted from any and all places, starting in the South, and replaced with cultural Marxism.

Cultural Marxism IS the new political theology in this country and it will prevail no matter who ends up being president (Hillary) or how many states Trump gets stolen from him by the Republican Establishment, because both Republican and Democratic Establishment members are all avid practitioners of the religion of cultural Marxism. They live for it. As for the desires of the voters who pay the bills, they are absolutely last on the cultural Marxist list, if they even make it onto the list.

So it comes as no surprise that a black federal judge in Mississippi has issued a statement that the Mississippi state flag is now to be considered “anti-American.” In Judge Carlton Reeves’ fractured thinking the flag is anti-American because it represents those “who fought to leave the United States.” Does it surprise anyone that this man was appointed by Barack Obama to be a federal judge? It shouldn’t. This is the caliber of Obama’s appointees. The Great High Priest in Washington only selects those who will minister his decisions favorably in his churches (courts) so when I first read the article about Reeves’ stand on the flag in Mississippi the first thing I did was to check to see who appointed him.

This is the same judge who ruled in November, 2014 that Mississippi’s same-sex marriage ban violated the Due Process and Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Had he not reflected Bishop Obama’s theology he wouldn’t have gotten appointed. He was confirmed in the U S Senate in December, 2010 by a voice vote, which means your slightly-less-than-honest senator can come back home and lie to you about having voted for him and there is no record of it.

But now we cut to the chase. Reeves issued his flag ruling in a lawsuit brought by Carlos Moore, another black lawyer from Grenada, Mississippi. Moore is asking Reeves to declare the Mississippi state flag “an unconstitutional relic of slavery.” While Reeves isn’t saying yet whether he will fully consider Moore’s lawsuit regarding the state flag, if you have half a brain you already know the answer.

And Moore’s rationale for all this is, get this, if the U S Supreme Court last year effectively legalized same-sex marriage all across the country, then the Constitution protects “a fundamental right of dignity and the state flag violates his dignity as well as that of other blacks. So, in order to get rid of this fundamental lack of black dignity we have to get rid of the present state flag. Replacing it with one with a hammer and sickle on it would probably be considered appropriate. Such a flag would truly reflect the theology of cultural Marxism.

Back last summer, after the orchestrated Confederate flag purge had begun I wrote an article for this blog spot entitled “Is the Confederate Flag Becoming Illegal?” Maybe some folks thought that was a bit over the top, but here, less than a year later, we have a federal judge who is perilously close to declaring a state flag with the St. Andrews Cross on it to be “unconstitutional” and therefore illegal. Folks, if you all follow some of this stuff, you know we are not making it all up!

Interestingly, Attorney Moore feels the Mississippi state flag violates his “dignity.” Well, I’ve got a question–what about the dignity of all those citizens of Mississippi and other places who have had ancestors that fought in the Confederate armies? Are not those of us who have Confederate ancestors due the dignity of celebrating and remembering our ancestors and trying to educate others as to what that War was realy all about–and it wasn’t “racism” and slavery. Those that promote that line either haven’t done the historical homework or they hope you haven’t. For those wanting a good history lesson as to what the War was really all about I would point you to an excellent article by Dr. Donald Livingston on the Abbeville Blog for April 15th. You can check it out at http://www.abbevilleinstitute.org

Dr. Livingston gives you some of the history you will never see in the “history” books Keep your eye on what happens in Mississippi in the next few weeks, and what happens with the cultural Marxist agenda as the warm weather approaches and the paid protesters don’t mind getting out and doing their thing. If you think last year was bad, then I think you’ve not seen anything yet. And there are lots of us in the South that won’t take our Confederate flags down no matter what these two black judges come up with.

April Is Confederate Heritage Month!

by Al Benson Jr.

Many Southern and Confederate groups around the country will be celebrating Confederate Heritage month this month (April, 2016). The governor of Mississippi has, for his state, designated April as Confederate Heritage month. Several states in the South used to do this every April until the “spontaneous” events in Charleston, South Carolina last June rendered them all gutless wonders–slaves to political correctness. It seems now that most Southern governors are deathly afraid to stand up for that portion of their populations that has Confederate ancestors, and that includes some blacks and American Indians.

Some news sources have informed us that protesters marched in Jackson, Mississippi to protest the governor’s proclamation. So who were these protesters? What organizations did they represent? None of the news accounts I checked out gave any indications. I guess that we are just supposed to believe that a whole bunch of individual anti-Confederate protesters suddenly materialized in Jackson to object to Confederate Heritage month. Pigs fly, too, so they say. One thing you have to remember about these “protests”–they always come from the theological and political left and they are never spontaneous! Can anyone spell N.A.A.C.P. or Black Lives Matter? I’m sure that are other leftist groups (and groupies) out there but these two are usually in the forefront.

We are all supposed to celebrate Black History month but we can’t celebrate Confederate Heritage month. Does anyone detect just a slight double standard here?

There will be several Confederate groups celebrating Confederate Heritage month this month and they will probably be seen in many areas waving Confederate flags. If you go up to some of them and talk in a civilized manner they will probably be glad to talk with you and will impart information you may not have been able to get anywhere else.

The perpetually offended need to get used to this because, folks, we ain’t going away no matter how much you whine. If your idea of celebrating your heritage means obliterating our heritage you can forget it! We will not play that game with you. I don’t care how much you and the “newscasters” that represent you try to tell the public it’s all about preserving the legacy of slavery and “racism.” We’ve heard that hackneyed line over and over and you know what? It’s all bovine fertilizer!

Over the decades most people have, via the “educational” institutions they attended, been reprogrammed (brainwashed) into believing that the South fought the War only so she could keep her slaves and so she could keep her thumb on black people. This educational drivel has been taught in so many places that most people don’t even think anymore, they just buy into it. But then, that was the idea wasn’t it?

A gentleman I talked with several months ago noted that the Confederate flag has not changed. It was always a soldier’s flag, nothing more. What has changed is people’s perception of it–and that has been intentional educational manipulation. Have their been some people that abused and misused the flag? Sure there were. Some have also misused the US flag, or the British flag or a host of other flags. Why not just call for a ban on all of them? Or may such a project is down the road a little way and they haven’t gotten to it yet–but be patient. The advocates of One World government are nothing if not patient!

We also have people now telling us that the Christian cross is “racist” or that the New Testament in the Bible is “racist.” I guess some of these folks would really like to ban everything except the Talmud and the Koran–at least everything Christian. At root, that’s what it’s really all about.

If you get rid of white, Christian culture and its symbols in the South then you can open the door even wider for more Muslims, more illegal immigrants, more folks who will forever change the culture here into something we only used to see in big cities up north.

I submit that the true “racists” are those trying to destroy white, Christian culture in the South (and other places as well). These are the cultural Marxists whose agenda has always been the destruction of anything Christian anywhere they could get away with it. And they have gotten away with so much of it here in the South because so many  Christian churches have been neutralized by doctrine that makes them all but impotent in too many areas.

If you think it’s bad now, just wait until this odd-ball kid that shot those black folks in Charleston comes up for trial. The left, and those in the Ruling Establishment that back and promote it, will use every possible means to turn that event into an anti-Confederate extravaganza.  Confederate and Southern Heritage groups had better start getting ready, because what comes down in the next year or two won’t be pretty.

Getting Ready For Another Round of Cultural Cleansing?

by Al Benson Jr.

The article on http://www.nytimes.com for March 14th had a headline that read: “Momentum to Remove Confederate Symbols Slows or Stops.” The article, written by Alan Blinder, noted the well-synchronized push last year to get rid of Confederate symbols (he didn’t call it well-synchronized, I did).

Then Mr. Blinder wrote: “But that was last year. Now, not even nine months after the massacre at Charleston’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the momentum to force Confederate symbols from official display has often been slowed or stopped. In some states this year, including Alabama, lawmakers have been considering new ways to protect demonstrations of Confederate pride…the pendulum has gone in the other direction…” Mr. Blinder almost seems saddened about this. Well, after all, he does write for the New York Times–no friend of  Confederate symbols at any time.

He notes movements in at least 12 states to try to ensure that Confederate symbols and monuments are preserved and recognized. Blinder contends that “The actions that did materialize, though, emboldened defenders of Confederate heritage displays.” Speaking in Mississippi, Greg Stewart, executive director of Beauvoir, which was Jefferson Davis’ last home, stated that “Our strength right now is the result of their (the cultural Marxists) overreach.” Steward noted that many Southern folks are quite reluctant  to allow state officials to decide how to commemorate the region’s history. He said:  “We knew in Mississippi that the trick is always to keep the decision in the hands of the public.” Southerners have learned over the past couple decades how their “elected representatives” have betrayed them when it came to protecting Southern heritiage.  You just cannot trust the politicians, who are usually out to pander to the politically correct and who will sell out the heritage of their states for either votes or campaign contributions, especially if they might be harboring “presidential aspirations.”

A member of the political class noted that “we should take into account the sensitivity of all of our citizens on all issues.” What he was really saying was that you should take into account the “sensitivity” of all citizens except those wanting to preserve their Southern history and heritage. He didn’t quite say it that way but if you have watched the politcal doublespeak as I have over the years, you know that’s what he meant. Everybody should get a say but Christian, Confederate white folks. I realize that may be putting it bluntly for some, but that’s the way this game usually works. Everybody is supp0sed to have a say but us and we are just supposed to sit back in the corner and continue to feel guilty over a slavery or whatever that has been gone for 150 plus years now.

They continue to tell us we should just forget about the Confederacy and “move on.” Well, how about them following their own advice and forgetting about the slavery issue and just “moving on?” Ahh, but you see, they can’t do that–because pushing the “it was all about slavery agenda” is part of their game, part of the class struggle technique, part of the “divide and conquer” plan they have for the different races in this country, part of the agenda to destabilize both country and people, so they can continually fan the flame of “racism” so people don’t forget. Without all this Marxist class struggle baggage people might even learn to get along with each other and actually put the past in a proper perspective and move on, and that is the absolute last the Marxist agitators in Washington and around the country want. They don’t want peace and quiet–they want agitation and violence because it plays right into their program.

So I asked myself–why is this guy writing this particular article now? Nine months after the fact, things have quieted down. Why now? Is this supposed to be “marching order” for some radical Marxist group to start fanning the flames again? Are we soon supposed to be subjected to yet another round of cultural Marxism, ethnic cleansing, and whatever else the Left has decided is best for the country now?

Years ago I had a friend and mentor that was a pastor. He followed Communist activity and was, probably, in his own right, an expert on it. He made the statement once, and I never forgot it,  that when the Communists promoted a particular project, they did so for a certain amount of time and then they stopped–and if you waited about six months you would then see the Communist project promoted in the major media in this country.  On the two or three instances that I checked his timing on this he was right on the money!

So I am wondering if this current situation isn’t an extension of that same game.  We all know, or should know, that the cultural Marxists are not about to let the issue of Confederate history and symbols rest for any period of time. They haven’t been able to get rid of them all yet and they have met resistance. So why would they quit? You have to know they will be back again–and again, until they get what they want–ethnic cleansing on a grand scale, starting in the South and then working West and North. The reason they backed off was that they started to get pushback and it would have been counter-productive to continue at that point, so they backed off.  Is it getting close to the time they are supposed to renew their offensive this year? We had better keep our eyes open and exercise discernment because our adversary, like his father, prowls about “like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
